March 2010
Company commences trading as a Hotel marketing services provider including reservations call centre, website building and revenue management as our main services. Our first central reservations booking taken by phone, demand greatly exceeds initial expectations.
February 2011
Hotel Management Division commenced under GN Asset Management and grows to 20 properties under asset management inside 24 months.
September 2014
Hotel Acquisitions commence through partnerships with Close Investors. 8 Hotels purchased over next number of years and both Hotel asset management division and Great National Hotel Marketing Division expands into United Kingdom.
June 2017
Margaret Chandler, one of the companies first employees with over 20 years’ experience is appointed General Manager over Great National Hotels Marketing services.
November 2017
Rachel Howes, technology investor and former MD of Booking.com and Leo Dempsey, Hotel entrepreneur and former booking.com regional leader become shareholders and join the Great National Board as Directors.
October 2018
Commencement of concept development of revenue management Software Division “Revanista” spearheaded by Rachel Howes and supported by Enterprise Ireland, has a transformation effect on company efficiency in this area
November 2019
Purchase of Classic British Hotels marketing company in United Kingdom.
January 2022
Hotel Client numbers in marketing and management reach 140 and now over 700 colleagues employed in all group companies.
May 2022
Seasoned and Experienced Hotelier Dermot Kelly joins board as Group Commercial Director.
September 2022
Christopher Kenny appointed as Chief E-commerce Officer.
February 2023
Philip Allsop appointed as MD United Kingdom with responsibility for Classic British Hotels as board member having been promoted from Commercial Director position.
March 2023
Revanista software deployed to large hotel clients and now introduced to Irish and UK Market with economical model aimed at mass independent market.
